The first time I saw a WK piece it was looming on the side of a mechanic’s garage near the old X-Large New York store. The twisted, horrific elastic faces in high contrast black and white messed with my head. Something about the ferocity and torment stuck with me…. That’s why I was so stoked to get my hands on 2.5 New York Street Life. The 96-page collection of WK’s work was made available for the first time in the US by Italian street art publisher Drago this past summer.
The reason I’m blogging about it now is because of Never Sleeps, WK Interact’s new work for Jumpman23team member and Chicago native, Dwayne Wade. Beautiful HD footage and music courtesy of Black Iris. Enjoy!
